Meet Dr. Sara Gholam

“I have been working with kids since I was in my teens- I love the joy and optimism that children bring to each new day!”

Originally from Washington, D.C., Dr. Sara swapped the city skyline for the bucolic setting of Lancaster. She is a self-proclaimed foodie and has enjoyed exploring the growing culinary scene in Lancaster. In her former life, she was a music teacher and even had a flute studio where she taught children of all ages!

Dr. Sara is a board certified pediatric dentist and serves as adjunct clinical faculty for the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Penn Dental Medicine. She is passionate about education and stays up to date with the latest techniques through continuing education courses and the Penn Alumni Pediatric Dentistry Virtual Study Club.

She is a published author in the peer-reviewed Journal of Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology.

In her free time outside of Magnolia Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Sara loves taking her 2 year old son, Cooper, to outdoor music classes, library trips and swim lessons. She also loves exploring local parks with Cooper and the office mascot, a lovable mini golden retriever named Bodhi.

Education is very important to Dr. Sara. To that end, she is also a guest speaker and founding mentor at Milagro House, a supportive housing program which helps moms in Lancaster County reach their educational goals and secure job placement.

Carina

Say hello to Carina, our incredible Office Manager and Dental Assistant! Carina has more than 17 years of dental experience, and is the mastermind behind the scenes, making sure appointments are perfectly scheduled, our patients are comfortable, and our team is prepared to provide stellar care.

She loves being a part of your child’s dental journey and strives to ensure their experience is stress-free and FUN!

Carina and her husband Chuck have 3 amazing sons, Chaz, Trent and Cameron. She also has a pup, Oz, and a kitty, Diggs.

When Carina isn’t making magic happen in the office, you can find her spending time with her family and friends, camping, reading, shopping, or at the beach.

Bodhi

Hi friends! My name is Bodhi, and I’m the office pup and official mascot for Magnolia Pediatric Dentistry! I’m a miniature golden retriever pup who loves nothing more than meeting new friends and cuddling up for gentle pats and treats.

I was dubbed the most chill pup from the litter and have an “easygoing” personality. My ultimate goal is to provide comfort and make our littlest patients smile.

I’m starting obedience training soon and plan to become a therapy dog. Come hang out with me at Magnolia Pediatric Dentistry!
